Britain is about to go barmy for the world première of Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain – Part Five!
Arriving at the Apollo Theatre on 30 July 2020, and running until the 29 August, it will mark the ninth year in the West End for the Horrible Histories cast and creatives.
Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain – Part Five! is a brand new show full of crazy new characters and rude new rulers from Britain’s barmy past!
Will you be conquered by King William? Will you sink or swim with King Henry I? Will Thomas Becket get the chop? Go house hunting with King Henry VIII! Are you scared to scale the Tudor scaffold? Join the gorgeous Georgians as they take over England! Break into Buckingham Palace and hide from the Queen! Watch out for the witch of World War Two!
The show is produced by Birmingham Stage Company, based on author Terry Deary’s beloved children’s books. The award-winning company also produced the stage versions of David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny, Awful Auntie and the forthcoming UK tour of Billionaire Boy.
Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain – Part Four! is currently running at the Apollo Theatre until 31 August, and is part of Kids Week. Last year it became the most successful show in the Horrible Histories series when it played a sell-out summer season in Theatreland.
