Former EastEnders star Nigel Harman is to return to the London stage next month when he leads the cast of new play Public Property at the Trafalgar Studio 2.
Harman, who appeared in London earlier in the year opposite James McAvoy and Lyndsey Marshal in Three Days Of Rain, plays publicist Larry in the new piece by Sam Peter Jackson. When his client and popular news man Geoffrey Hammond is caught in a compromising position by photographers, it is up to Larry to spin him out of his impossible position. As the eager media awaits a statement, the pair struggles with conscience and imagination and the question looms; is all publicity good publicity?
Harman made his name playing Dennis Rickman in long-running BBC soap opera EastEnders, but since leaving the show has been regularly seen on the London stage, appearing in Guys And Dolls, The Caretaker and The Common Pursuit as well as Three Days Of Rain. On screen he recently appeared in C4 comedy Plus One and BBC drama Hotel Babylon.
Harman is joined in Public Property, which runs from 10 November until 5 December, by Robert Daws and Steven Webb.
Daws is easily recognisable from his many television performances, which include Jeeves And Wooster, Outside Edge, Roger Roger and The Royal, in which he has played Dr Gordon Ormerod since 2003.
Webb previously appeared in London productions of The History Boys, On The Shore Of The Wide World, The Long Road and Sh*t-M*x, which was staged at the Trafalgar Studios in 2008.
