Tom Goodman-Hill, currently working with Rupert Goold on the hit production Enron, is to be reunited with the director later this summer when he joins the cast of Earthquakes In London at the National Theatre.
Goodman-Hill joins a cast including Anna Madeley, Bill Paterson, Jessica Raine, Geoffrey Streatfeild and Lia Williams in the new play by Mike Bartlett, whose drama Cock won a Laurence Olivier Award earlier this year.
The co-production with Goold’s Headlong theatre, which opens at the Cottesloe theatre on 4 August, is described as “a fast and furious metropolitan crash of people, scenes and decades as three sisters attempt to navigate their dislocated lives and loves, while their dysfunctional father, a brilliant scientist, predicts global catastrophe”.
Goodman-Hill, who plays Andy Fastow in Enron, has become a regular on the London stage in the past few years, taking on a range of roles. In the winter of 2009, in a break between playing Fastow at the Royal Court and transferring Enron to the West End, he starred in ghost story Darker Shores at the Hampstead theatre. Before Enron he could be seen playing Sir Lancelot in the Monty Python musical Spamalot, for which he received a Laurence Olivier Award nomination.
Writing on micro-blogging site Twitter, Goodman-Hill said he was “delighted” to be joining the production and working with Goold again.
