Gallery: first look at Peter Pan at the National Theatre

First Published 28 November 2016, Last Updated 19 December 2016

Following a sold out run at the Bristol Old Vic, Cookson’s brilliantly inventive Peter Pan transfers to the Olivier Theatre at the National Theatre this festive season, with Anna Francolini starring as the vengeful Captain Hook.

When the leader of the Lost Boys, Peter Pan, loses his shadow during a visit to London, the headstrong Wendy helps him to re-attach it, and is rewarded with an invitation to the wonderful world of Neverland. Along the way, she meets Tinker Bell the fairy, Tiger Lily and the fierce Captain Hook.

An exploration of the possibilities and pain of growing up, Peter Pan is a riotous tale of magic, mischief, music and make-believe.

If the production shots are anything to go by, this will be a stunning spectacle which rips up the rule book, and promises to be a family show to remember.

Peter Pan is recommended for ages 7+. Book your tickets to Neverland today!
