The West End transfer of Laura Wade’s zippy comedy Home, I’m Darling has confirmed casting, with Richard Harrington and Sara Gregory reprising their roles alongside Katherine Parkinson.
Parkinson, best known for her roles in The IT Crowd and Humans, will star as Judy, opposite husband Johnny (Harrington) and his boss, Alex (Gregory). All three return to the roles they played at Theatr Clywd and the National Theatre in 2018.
The West End cast of Home, I’m Darling is completed by Charlie Allen, Susan Brown (Sylvia), Ellie Burrow, Siubhan Harrison (Fran), Jane MacFarlane and Hywel Morgan (Marcus).
Home, I’m Darling tells the story of Judy and Johnny, the happily married who are… well, happily married, surely? But as Judy pursues her quest to be the perfect 1950s housewife, the fantasy which keeps their marriage sparkling begins to unravel, and life as a domestic goddess becomes more troublesome than it seems.
Directed by Tamara Harvey, the show features set design by the Olivier Award-winning Anna Fleischle, with lighting by Lucy Carter, sound by Tom Gibbons, and choreography by Charlotte Broom. Sean Gleason is Associate Lighting Designer, and Hannah Noone serves as Resident Director.
Home, I’m Darling sweeps up at the Duke of York’s Theatre from 26 January until 13 April, before departing for a wider UK tour. Full tour casting is to be confirmed.
The show is also currently participating in our New Year Sale.
