He who dares, theatre fans. He who dares. And it seems that Paul Whitehouse and Jim Sullivan’s daring has paid off as Del Boy and the gang are back… but not quite as you know them. The era-defining sitcom has been absent from our screens for almost 15 years (if you don’t count the odd Sports Relief special) but in 2019, Trotters Independent Traders will be pitching up its three-wheeled van in the West End because Only Fools And Horses The Musical is coming to town.

Paul and Jim – the son of the Only Fools And Horses creator, the late, great John Sullivan – have turned the beloved characters and Peckham-setting into what promises to be a raucous comedy with 20 original, ingenious, and hilarious songs.

Bringing Britain’s most loveable rogues to life will be Paul himself as Grandad, Tom Bennett as Del Boy, and Ryan Hutton as Rodney.

Only Fools And Horses The Musical will feature cherished material from the TV series as it takes a trip back to 1989, where it’s all kicking off in Peckham. While the yuppie invasion of London is in full swing, love is in the air as Del Boy sets out on the rocky road to find his soul mate, Rodney and Cassandra prepare to say ‘I do’, and even Trigger is gearing up for a date. Meanwhile, Boycie and Marlene give parenthood one final shot and Grandad takes stock of his life and decides the time has finally arrived to get his piles sorted.

With musical contributions from the legendary Chas n Dave, plus the beloved theme tune as you’ve never heard it before, and an array of comic songs full of character and cockney charm, this is going to be one hell of a West End knees up.

So if you’ve missed those absolute plonkers that won six BAFTA Awards, seven British Comedy Awards and three National Television Awards, make sure catch this truly unique show at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 9 February 2019.
