Based on the cult-hit film, Waitress is the story of Jenna, who works in a diner. Jenna loves baking, and she longs to leave her small town and unhappy marriage to open her own pie shop. But when she finds out she’s pregnant, and then meets her doctor, her life is turned more upside down than an upside down cake!

Waitress is the first Broadway and West End musical in history to have four women in the four top creative team spots. The show features original music and lyrics by 6-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles, a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson, direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus and choreography by Lorin Latarro.

And during the interval, why not enjoy one of the specially made Waitress pies from the Theatre Cafe? The choice of flavours available each night includes apple crumble, chocolate salted caramel or banoffee.

Waitress recently ran a successful karaoke night, where the audience was invited to sing a minute from the musical. Hosted by Katharine and Denise Van Outen, these lucky singers were even accompanied by the show’s musical director Katharine Woolley.

The next Waitress karaoke will take place on Monday 18 March after the show finishes. So whether you see yourself as the next Jenna, Dr Pomatter, Dawn, Becky or Ogie, if you want to sing on Adelphi Theatre’s stage, just sign up in the auditorium before the show begins on the 18 March.

Waitress is booking until 19 October 2019 and you can grab a slice of the action by booking tickets right here!
