Consisting of four interlinked plots and set in a mythical forest in Fairyland, Theseus, the Duke of Athens is preparing to marry Hippolyta, the former queen of the Amazons. Throw in some underprepared actors getting ready to perform at the aforementioned wedding, as well as some lost lovers in the woods, and you’ve got yourself a classic Shakespearean comedy!
One of Shakespeare’s most loved and performed pieces, expect live music, playful adventure and physical invention, as the lovers’ world is transformed into a place of magic, laughter and healing, as we journey into the woods.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be on at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from 28 June 2019 – 27 July 2019, and tickets are available now.
