Following a successful UK tour, the Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Curve and Lyric Hammersmith production of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox will return to London for a summer run.
The bright-eyed, bushy-tailed hero will make a return to the Lyric Hammersmith stage this summer in the popular adaptation by Sam Holcroft, wich ran at the venue earlier this year. The production features original music by Arthur Darvill and will run at the Lyric from 26 July to 20 August, after it completes its national tour.
Offering family fun at its finest, Roald Dahl’s tale is a juicy story of greed, pride and the power of friendship, as the wily and sly Mr Fox constantly evades Boggis, Bunce and Bean, three greedy and smelly farmers determined to get revenge.
But when events escalate, can Mr Fox hatch a plan to save his family and friends? Can they outrun the diggers and outsmart the farmers, and can rabbit shut up long enough not to give the game away? A Dahlicious theatrical feast, with live music and songs, ensues.
Artistic Director of Lyric Hammersmith, Sean Holmes, said “We are delighted to welcome back Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox after its sell-out success here at the Lyric earlier this year. A great treat for all the family this summer.”
The cast will include Richard Atwill, Greg Barnett, Patrick Burbidge, Jade Croot, Lillie Flynn, Sandy Foster, Gruffudd Glyn, Richie Hart, Thomas Hewitt, Edward Hole, Kelly Jackson and Tanya Shields.
You can book your tickets through the Lyric Hammersmith’s website.
