Not since the misfit gang in Cluedo first set foot in the board game’s famously deathly house has such a shifty line-up of characters come together in one eerie, remotely located abode as the one found in The Mousetrap.
More than 60 years since Agatha Christie’s hugely popular play opened in the West End – making it the world’s longest running show – audiences are still kept guessing that eternal question “whodunit?” every night as Major Metcalf, Christopher Wren, Mrs Boyle and the rest of the fated party reveal the murderous story that has more twists and turns than a Curly Wurly.
Until now audiences have only seen the characters from the comfort of the St Martin’s theatre’s red velvet seats, unable to delve into their inner most thoughts or see them under the spotlight. That’s why we’re thrilled to be able announce a series of videos to be released on Official London Theatre over the next two months featuring interviews with each of the suspicious guesthouse dwellers who play a vital part in the unravelling of the great mystery.
At 13:00 on every Thursday until 30 January – one hour before you’ll be able to see them anywhere else – all the mysterious hotel guests, not forgetting the all-important Detective Sergeant Trotter of course, will take their turn in the hotspot with the release of their own video.
Watch the video above for a sneak peek at what you can expect from the interviews conducted by TV presenter Angellica Bell before we kick off next Thursday with Monkswell Manor’s Mollie and Giles Ralston.
Let the case begin…
