It is a month to the day since Alexandra Burke first stepped on to the stage as the West End’s third Queen Of The Night, and what better way to mark the occasion than by giving you an exclusive look at a new trailer for The Bodyguard.
Since the recording artist first transformed into six-time Grammy Award-winning superstar Rachel Marron for Thea Sharrock’s production, she has been wowing audiences with her X Factor-winning vocals and powerful renditions of Whitney Houston’s unforgettable songs.
Featuring Burke in action alongside her co-star Tristan Gemmill, the video will not only make you wanna dance with somebody but is sure have audiences flocking to the Adelphi Theatre to see the singer’s showstopping performance in the musical before it comes to the end of its run at the theatre on 30 August.
Based on the film starring Houston and Kevin Costner, The Bodyguard charts the story of a Secret Service agent-turned bodyguard who is hired to protect Marron from a threatening stalker. It features hit upon hit from Houston’s back catalogue, including I’m Every Woman, I Have Nothing and I Will Always Love You, all of which you can see Burke belting out in the video above.
