When are the Olivier Awards 2023?
The Olivier Awards take place this year on Sunday 2 April at the Royal Albert Hall.
Who is hosting the Olivier Awards?
This year, for the first time ever, the Olivier Awards will be hosted by three-time Olivier nominee and Emmy award-winner Hannah Waddingham.

How can I watch?
A highlights programme will be broadcast at 10:15pm on ITV1 and ITVX. The full ceremony will be broadcast live from the Royal Albert Hall on Magic Radio, hosted by Ruthie Henshall and Alice Arnold from 6pm. Viewers from outside the UK can tune in on Official London Theatre’s YouTube channel.
TikTok will also be hosting a live stream on the Green Carpet, with Hannah Lowther as our host. Find out more about how to watch on the night here!
Who will be performing at the Olivier Awards?
For the first time ever, we’ll have an original Olivier Awards Opening Number, to be performed by Hannah Waddingham alongside some of your West End favourites and written by Pippa Cleary – the first female British composer to have had 3 shows produced on the West End. So there are plenty of reasons to watch!
This year’s ceremony will include performances from nominees The Band’s Visit, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, Sister Act, Standing At The Sky’s Edge, Sylvia and Tammy Faye.
We’ll also see performances from Disney’s Newsies, whose choreographer Matt Cole is nominated and multi-Olivier winner The Book Of Mormon will be celebrating 10 years in the West End with a special performance. Special Award winner, Dame Arlene Phillips, will be honoured on the night with a special performance from Grease the Musical. Check out pictures from the sitzprobe below!

What celebrities will be there?
Presenters on the star-studded line-up include Milly Alcock, Sheila Atim, Matthew Bourne, Darcey Bussell, Divina De Campo, Liz Carr, Es Devlin, Luke Evans, Helen George, Callum Scott Howells, Eddie Izzard, Cush Jumbo, Ronan Keating, Tim Minchin, Anne Reid, Golda Rosheuvel, Lea Salonga, Harriet Scott, Sheridan Smith, Mark Strong, Meera Syal, Sindhu Vee and Dita Von Teese, Aimee Lou Wood.
AWFC football icon and Mastercard ambassador Alex Scott will also be there to enjoy the show. Other VIP guests include Louise Redknapp, Charlotte Tilbury and Amber Davies.

How can I watch the Olivier Awards?
You can listen to the full radio broadcast live on Magic FM at 6.30pm and watch highlights later that evening on ITV1 or stream it for free on ITVX. We will as ever be announcing all the winners live on our social channels, so make sure you follow @OlivierAwards on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

We describe our dress code as ‘black tie and glamorous’. We’ve had some incredible fashion moments over the years, including Emma Corrin’s balloon dress that went viral last year!
