English National Opera have confirmed that they will be hosting a specially-staged 90-minute version of Puccini’s classic La bohéme performed live in a unique drive-in theatre experience at the iconic Alexandra Palace Park from 19 – 27 September.
The new, contemporary socially distanced show will feature the award-winning ENO Orchestra and Chorus with incredible casts throughout the run including Natalya Romaniw and Sinéad Campbell-Wallace sharing the role of Mimì, alongside David Butt-Philip and David Junghoon Kim as Rodolfo.
The performers will be on a raised and covered stage, with large screens to the side also relaying the performance so that you can enjoy a great view no matter where you park. If you don’t have a car, you still have options because the English National Opera has partnered up with Uber so that you can book an Uber Box. Alternatively, you can come on a bicycle.
This deeply moving tale of love and loss is one of the world’s best-loved and famous operas. Whether you’re a huge fan of Puccini’s or an opera beginner, this is a brilliant opportunity to revisit an unforgettable opera show for all ages.
Tickets will be approximately £100 for a car (max 4 people per vehicle) and public sale will open from Friday 17 July at 10am. Set your alarms and head here to grab those tickets!
