Stage and screen star Douglas Booth will lead the cast of a powerful new play, A Guide For The Homesick, at Trafalgar Studios this autumn.

Booth most recently starred on stage in Speech And Debate at the same venue, and recently rose to prominence in the BBC’s Worried About The Boy and Great Expectations series. Clifford Samuel (Boudica, Shakespeare’s Globe; Don’t Sleep There Are Snakes, Park Theatre) co-stars.

A Guide For The Homesick makes its European debut from 16 October – 24 November. Penned by the award-winning Ken Urban, the show tells a tender but bittersweet story about the powers of conscience and connection.

In the show, two strangers, enveloped in their own secrets and shrouded in their own doubts, meet in a hotel room in Amsterdam. Jeremy (Booth) is searching for a beer for the night – Teddy (Samuel), for a friend. But when they meet, can they confess their greatest fears to one another?

A Guide For The Homesick will have designs by Jason Denvir, lighting by Nic Farman, and sound by Max Perryment. The show is produced by Stage Traffic Productions.
