Game Of Thrones star Joe Dempsie will star in the forthcoming production of Brad Birch’s Even Stillness Breathes Softly Against A Brick Wall at the Soho theatre.
Best known for his role as Gendry in the popular HBO series, Dempsie’s on screen credits also include the first two series of E4 teen drama Skins, supernatural horror The Fades, British sports film The Damned United and BBC2’s one-off crime drama Murder.
Dempsie will be joined in Nadia Latif’s production by his Murder co-star Lara Rossi whose on screen credits include Crossing Lines, The Shadow Line and Life Of Crime. Rossi has also appeared on stage in productions including 13 and Emperor And Galilean, both at the National Theatre, and Women, Power And Politics at the Tricycle theatre.
Playing from 28 May (press night 30 May) to 14 June at the Soho theatre’s upstairs space, Even Stillness Breathes Softly Against A Brick Wall, which is billed as “a visceral examination of urban living and human existence spiralling out of control”, charts the turbulent descent of two individuals whose lives are an orchestra of alarm clocks, traffic lights, emails, credit cards, phone calls and meetings, meetings, meetings.
