The National Theatre’s seven-time Olivier Award-winning production of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time has extended its booking period at the Gielgud Theatre until 24 October 2015.
Simon Stephens’ take on the prize-winning tale, which charts the story of 15-year-old Christopher as he embarks on an extraordinary journey of discovery, was previously booking at the West End venue until 23 May.
Based on Mark Haddon’s novel, the show follows the teenager, who struggles to interpret everyday life, as he ventures beyond the end of his road for the first time in an attempt to find out how his neighbour’s canine companion came to be speared with a garden fork.
Marianne Elliott’s production of The Curious Of Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time currently stars Graham Butler as the show’s mathematically-minded, mystery-solving protagonist alongside a cast including Emily Joyce, Daniel Casey, Gay Soper, Sarah Woodward and Paul Stocker.
The show opened in the West End, first at the Apollo Theatre and then at the Gielgud, following its premiere at the National Theatre in 2012. Since then it has transferred to Broadway’s Ethel Barrymore Theatre and will continue to wow audiences in London with its heart-warming tale into the autumn.
