TV presenter and stage performer Brian Conley has been announced as the host of charity gala concert West End Heroes, which will take place at the Dominion theatre later this month.
Held in aid of armed forces charity Help For Heroes, West End Heroes will take place on 23 June at the long-standing home of hit Queen musical We Will Rock You.
Supported by a 50-piece orchestra, the concert will feature collaborative performances from West End shows including War Horse, Monty Python’s Spamalot, Wicked, Stomp, Les Misérables, Some Like It Hip Hop, The Bodyguard and We Will Rock You with military bands RAF Squadronaires Big Band, The Central Band Of The Royal Air Force, Royal Marines Corp Of Drums and Irish Guards Fanfare Team.
A celebration of the very best of London theatre, the event will also feature guest appearances from X Factor winner Joe McElderry, musical theatre star Daniel Boys, actress and singer Shona Lindsay, and former Wicked star Rachel Tucker.
Talking about the event, Bryn Parry, co-founder of Help For Heroes, said: “West End Heroes is a wonderful example of people coming together to raise money for a worthwhile cause. Because of events like this and people like you raising money, we are able to provide practical, direct support to those who have suffered life-changing injuries as a result of their service.”
Tickets for the celebratory gala cost £45 and are available from the West End Heroes website.
