The Royal Court has announced casting for its production of The Sewing Group by E V Crowe, directed by Stewart Laing.
Nancy Crane, Fiona Glascott, Jane Hazelgrove, John Mackay, Sarah Niles and Alison O’Donnell have been cast in the new play, which will run at the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Upstairs later this year.
The play follows the story of a woman who arrives in a rural village in pre-industrial England. Her desire is to sew and learn from their simple way of life. But the group soon begins to suspect she is not who they thought she was.
The Sewing Group will run at the Royal Court from November 10 to 22 December with tickets ranging from £10 to £25. For more information about the show and to book tickets visit the venue’s official website.
