Classic Spring have announced full casting for Kathy Burke’s upcoming production of Wilde comedy Lady Windermere’s Fan, with Grace Molony and Joseph Marcell set to star alongside the previously-revealed Samantha Spiro, Kevin Bishop and Jennifer Saunders.
Joseph (best known as Geoffrey the butler in The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air) will play Lord Lorton, while the announcement marks a further boon for the career of rising star Grace, who will play Lady Windermere.
Having only graduated from LAMDA earlier this year, Grace has already won Best Actress in The Stage Debut Awards 2017 for her performance in The Country Girls at Chichester Festival Theatre, and next year will be appearing in feature film Mary Queen Of Scots opposite Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie.
Also announced are Joshua James (King Lear, Shakespeare’s Globe) as Lord Windermere and Ami Metcalf (Call The Midwife, BBC) as Agatha and Rosalie. The full cast also includes Victoria Blunt, Natasha Magigi, Charlie Mulliner, Siân Polhill-Thomas, Matthew Darcy, Roger Evans, David O’Reilly, Benedict Salter and Gary Shelford.
They join double Olivier Award-winning actress Samantha Spiro (Merrily We Roll Along, Donmar) as Mrs Erlynne, screen star Kevin Bishop (Porridge, BBC) as Lord Darlington, and Jennifer Saunders guest starring as the Duchess of Berwick. Lady Windermere’s Fan first time Jennifer has appeared in the West End in over two decades.

Lady Windermere’s Fan is part of Classic Spring’s year-long celebration of Oscar Wilde at the Vaudeville Theatre. After Dominic Dromgoole’s A Woman Of No Importance closes on 30 December, before Simon Callow performs a new stage adaptation of Wilde’s De Profundis for a limited engagement of just six performances from 3 to 6 January.
