There’s going to be a new addition to the factory in 9 To 5 The Musical, as Caroline Sheen is pouring herself a cup of ambition and returning to the show in July.
Caroline will be reprising the role of Violet Newstead from 4 July, joining current cast members Amber Davies as Judy Bernly, Natalie McQueen as Doralee Rhodes, Bonnie Langford as Roz Keith and Brian Conley as Franklin Hart until 31 August. Cast members from September 2019 onwards for both the London production and the UK tour will be announced soon.
Currently played by Louise Redknapp, the role of Violet isn’t completely unknown to Caroline. Before the show opened, Louise badly injured herself, and at the last minute, Caroline was called to step into the role until Louise was fully recovered.
Caroline has also performed in several iconic shows, including the West End productions of Les Misérables, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Mary Poppins on tour throughout the US and the UK. You may also have recently spotted her in the new BBC series Pitching In, playing the role of Carys.
9 To 5 The Musical is the story of three work friends, Doralee, Violet and Judy, who are dealing with a sexist, egotistical boss. Concocting a plan to turn the tables on their despicable supervisor, will they get their revenge – or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit? Inspired by the cult film, the show is all about teaming up, standing up and taking care of business!
9 To 5 The Musical is on right now at the Savoy Theatre, and you can book your tickets right here!
