Theatre-lovers relaxing in the park and in the cafes and bars of Leicester Square can now use their phone, PDA or even PSP to explore the tkts web pages, see what shows are likely to be on sale at the booth, then stroll across to make their purchases. Until 28 June, Leicester Square, the heart of London's West End and home of the tkts ticket booth, has gone wireless for roving web surfers. Courtesy of BTOpenzone Lite, a short registration process gives you the ability to log on to the internet in the centre of Theatreland. The new trial service is also absolutely free and offers unlimited downloads.
This new service is offered in collaboration with the tkts ticket booth, where you can find details of how BTOpenzone Lite works. Tkts is London's only official half price and discount theatre operation and is the best way to buy cheaper on-the-day tickets for many of London's most popular shows. In addition to the Leicester Square booth, there is also a tkts on platform 4/5 of the Canary Wharf DLR station.
