The Broadway League is offering US-based theatre fans the chance to win an incredible trip to London’s glittering West End this autumn.
Launched in collaboration with our own fantastic prize draw, the Broadway League’s exciting offering will see one lucky family of four flown from the US to experience a three-day trip in London, with return Virgin Atlantic flights, a stay at the luxurious Rosewood London and West End show tickets all included in the prize.
To be in with a chance of winning, all US theatregoers need to do is sign up to www.bwayzone.com, the Broadway League’s new online resource for theatre-loving families, before 25 November.
UK theatre fans eager for a trip in the opposite direction can try their luck in our very own theatrical prize draw, in which we’re offering one lucky individual and a friend a return trip to New York, a three-night stay at the Carlyle hotel and Broadway show tickets.
All they have to do is book tickets for any of the fantastic shows on sale through us online or in person at our Leicester Square ticket booth TKTS before 26 November.
The exciting pair of theatrical prizes is the latest collaboration between the Society of London Theatre – the organisation behind this website – and its New York equivalent, the Broadway League, to celebrate the incredible wealth of entertainment on offer in the global cities.
Talking about the partnership, the Society of London Theatre’s Chief Executive Julian Bird said: “The two great theatre capitals of the world, London and New York, have a deep history of collaboration and cultural exchange – and we are delighted to announce this major campaign for theatre lovers to win a dream trip to each other’s city.”
The two organisations will continue to work together in 2015 when they join forces to present a major new exhibition inspired by the 40th anniversary of the Olivier Awards with MasterCard. Entitled Curtain Up!, the installation will open at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum in February before transferring to The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts later in the year.
Curtain Up! will be designed by Tom Piper, the creative talent behind the Tower of London’s World War I tribute Blood Swept Lands And Seas Of Red, and is set to showcase numerous past Olivier Award winners’ work across all aspects of performance and design.
