Kids Week 2024
Kids Week is all about introducing young people to London theatre. A child 17 and under can go FREE to any participating show when accompanied by an adult paying full price, and you can buy up to two extra children’s tickets at half price. What’s more, there are no booking or transaction fees to pay!
Important ticket information
As we work with box offices with a variety of ticketing systems, when you go to buy your tickets, the seats will appear at their half price cost on the seating plan. This is the same deal as 1 full price paying adult and 1 free child. You should select as many tickets as in your party (e.g.; 2 adults and 3 children = 5 tickets).
What are the Kids Week dates?
The Kids Week deal includes selected performances between 24 July – 6 September. It used to run for just a week (hence the name!) but has grown in popularity and now runs through the school summer holidays.
When does booking open?
Booking will open at 10am on Tuesday 11 June. A full list of participating shows will be announced ahead of this. Please note for some shows there may be a digital queue at busy times, especially when tickets first go on sale.
Are there tickets for all performances?
The Kids Week deal is only valid on selected dates on participating shows and can only be booked directly through our website. There are a limited number of Kids Week tickets for each performance and tickets may not be on sale for all performances.
How much are Kids Week tickets?
It really depends on the show, so be sure to check that when you book. There are no booking, postage or transaction fees on Kids Week tickets.
My child is 17 – can they have a free kids’ ticket?
They most certainly can! We extended the offer a few years ago so it’s now open to any child aged 17 or under.
Can I take a child under 5?
It depends on the show. Some theatres and shows have strict age policies and don’t admit young children. We always recommend looking at the Age & Content Guide for shows on their individual listings page. It looks like this:
Can I take a baby to the theatre?
Babes in arms are not allowed in almost all theatres. Please check with the venue directly for their current guidelines.
Can I use Theatre Tokens to pay for Kids Week tickets?
Yes! Theatre Tokens can be redeemed online when you make your booking.
How many Kids Week tickets can I book?
You can book a maximum to 10 Kids Week tickets! No more than 5 of these may be adult tickets.
How do I book Access tickets?
If you, or someone you know, has access requirements, you can complete our Access Priority Request Form outlining your access requirements before the on sale date. This form will go live here on Tuesday 4 June at midday and will close on Sunday 9 June at 6pm. You will then be contacted directly by the theatre’s Box Office on Tuesday 11 June to book your tickets.
When booking access tickets throughout the promotion, we recommend booking access tickets directly with the theatre as they know the venue and can give you the best experience. You will be offered the Kids Week rate or the theatre’s own access rate, depending on which is lower, so you’ll always get the best deal. A list of contact information for the venues will be available on the Kids Week Access page once the promotion goes live.
Will there be Kids Week Activities?
Each year, we organise a small number of activities with some of the shows participating in Kids Week. If you have booked a performance with an activity attached, we will get in touch with further details on how to book on to the activity. Please note that booking a performance with an activity attached, does not guarantee an activity space.
Also look out for ‘Kids Week Curtain Calls’ an opportunity for ALL Kids Week bookers attending that performance to engage with the show after the performance. Details will be sent to bookers closer to the date of the performance.
Kids Week exclusives for those booking with a Mastercard.
Kids Week customer who purchases tickets with a Mastercard can opt-in to a prize draw to win a family ticket to return to the West End in December for a West End experience. Ensure you tick the opt-in box on the payment page. Plus, every Kids Week customer who books with a Mastercard will receive a free theatre activity pack. The pack will be emailed to you separately from the beginning of July.
Can I exchange my tickets or get a refund?
Exchange policies vary theatre to theatre, and we can only offer you an exchange if the theatre grants one. Tickets will only be refunded if your performance has been cancelled.
How do I contact you if I have another question?
You can find our details on our Contact Us page.
